Book of spells on ps3

Mum wrote a poem about our new game on the ps3 - the book of spells.  Here's a link to it http://llmcalling.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/book-of-spells-on-ps3.html

The photos are me on the game.  You can see me on screen with my wand, and playing the game and with my moving Harry Potter picture. It's brilliant.

Where am I on holiday?

Dear friend

I'm having lots of fun
In the sun
On the beach
With ice cream to eat

It's not too hot
I like it a lot
We're close to home
You can call on mum's phone

Wish you were here
Love
Rachel

Go Pyjamas with Blue Peter and children in need

Have you seen that the Blue Peter appeal this year is

Go pyjamas

They are asking us to do something in our pyjamas to raise money for children in need.

I asked my school of we could come in on Friday 16th November 2012 in our pyjamas.  I had to put this to school council and my class representative told me that they agreed.  That means our whole school will come to school in their pyjamas that day and raise lots of money.

I've also asked my dad to go to work in his pyjamas but I don't think he wants to join in.  Do you think he should?

Mum says we could do a go pyjamas at church but it won't be until Sunday 18th November 2012.  It could work brilliantly though because we are doing a session on shepherds that day and shepherds look like they wear pyjamas anyway.

What are you doing in your pyjamas?

Monster High DVD Review

I love being part of the tots100 film club, I get to see films and tell you what I like about them.  This Halloween we've been sent the new monster high DVD to review.

I'd never heard of monster high before but it's amazing.  It's a cartoon like a mix between high school musical and Halloween.  There are monsters who go to one school and normies who go to another.

In the film the monsters and especially the ghouls - girls - try to make friends with the normies who think the monsters are really scary.

I give it 9/10 because it's funny and cool.
Mum gives it 7/10 because it is not for kids but she likes the way everyone is together at the end and are friends even though they're all really different.

My favorite character is Frankie Stein, she has different coloured eyes and she is really cool.  Which character do you like from the film?

Moshi Monster Halloween

I love drawing moshi monsters and today I drew ask my favourites and some Halloween characters as well. It's a moshi monster Halloween. Spooky

Playing and learning about ripples

Look at how this wax has got ripples in it, isn't it amazing.  Mum says this is how water ripples as well but because water is so fast it's hard to see.  The wax was dripping from the candles and each time it landed it made a wave of ripples in the wet wax.  It's so cool.

Playing and learning about autumn

I love playing in the leaves at autumn, they're all crunchy and mushy and great to kick and throw.

Did you know that the leaves change colour from green to yellow to orange to red?  Look at this plant with all the colour on one branch.

Playing and learning about bubble writing

I love bubble writing.
Everything looks great with bubble writing.
I've written all the letters and numbers in bubbles.

Playing and learning about bridges

Here is something else we made out of geomag; a bridge.

I didn't think it was a bridge, I was just building the longest and strongest thing I could.  when I'd finished building it mum told me that this is shape that they build bridges out of with girders.

Have you ever made a strong bridge?

Playing and Learning about magnets

I love my Geomag; it's fun and you can make so many things out of it.  I was using the balls to pick up other balls today using their magnetism; it's amazing how many the magnets can hold.

I also went all over the house finding lots of things that are magnetic like the radiators and the fridge of course and mums desk.

Do you like playing with magnets?

Playing and Learning about space

This is the first post called playing and learning.  Mum is always taking photos of me playing and learning and I to blog about them.  I how you like them.

This one is about space.
I went on my first ever Beaver camp last week end and we learned lots of things about space and went on a star gazing walk.  We made a model of a rocket, a planet and a space themed bookmark.  We also made an amazing universe model out of a shoe box.

It was amazing and I really enjoyed it.
What craft have you done about space?

#snaphappybritmums by #britkids Back to School

Mum likes to take part in the Britmums #snaphappybritmums photo prompts but today I've banned her from using my photo for her blog.
It is a photo of me on my first day back at school so I want to use it.
I am now in year 3, my new teacher is Miss Tue and I really like her.

Could I be a model with glasses?

Mum bought me a new outfit today from Next and it is one from the catalogue. I like looking at the catalogues and seeing the kids but they never have models with glasses.

I have to wear glasses to see and I love my glasses. I think there should be models with glasses in the catalogues. Would you like to see catalogues with people with glasses?

And what about models with hearing aids or without an arm or with a blade as a leg? That would be the best catalogue ever.

Cakes for my class

When people at school have birthdays they bring in little presents for the class. I had my birthday in the holiday but I want to give them something so I made cakes for them and my new teacher and teaching assistant.

I hope they like them; they are all happy and sunny and I hope they make them smile.

I also made a big cake for us; mun won't let me have some until dad gets home. I don't think that's fair.

Paralympic Park Pass

On Saturday we went to the Paralympics at the Olympic Park. We had day passes and so we could go and see lots of sports and go all over the park. It was amazing.

We saw goalball with team GB playing really really well; they can't see because they're blindfolded and they hear the ball. I can't see when I take my glasses off and I'd like to try goalball.

My friend Zoe's mum is in charge of the GB Goalball team and we saw her afterwards. She was talking to Seb Coe - she must be very important. She also carried the torch and I can't wait to see it when the Paralympics have finished and she goes home.

Did you know that the Paralympians and everyone in the teams can't see their family unless their family have tickets. I think that is really hard. Zoe must miss her mum, I wouldn't like that very much if I was playing sport at the Olympics or Paralympics.

We went to see the 7-a-side football between Iran and the Netherlands afterwards. Iran were really good but I didn't like watching it really; it's not so exciting as other sports.

We wanted to see basketball but it was full so we went to see the wheelchair tennis. I loved that, I think it was my favourite sport. We sat next to the court and it was amazing to see the men move their chairs around and hit the ball. Wow.

The park is very very big and very very busy which is a bit scary but I really loved the day. We found a hill and lots of kids were rolling down it; I liked that as well. And there was music around and face painters.

We are going again to the athletics next Saturday which will be great as well.

Mum took lots of photos; here they are.

Pigtopus

This is a Pigtopus.
It is a cross between a pig and an octopus.
It can swim across the oceans.
It loves to roll in mud.
It will grab anything it wants.
It can smell out all things tasty.
It can hear everything for miles.

I'd like to meet a Pigtopus; would you?

Brave Film Review

Brave is a film about a girl called Merida who lives in a castle near the woods in Scotland. She's a princess but not an ordinary one, she likes archery and riding her horse in the woods. Merida lives with her mum the Queen who always tells her what to do; and her dad the King who lost a leg to a bear and likes Merida being wild. She has three little devils for brothers who are really cheeky.

Merida believes in magic and so she follows the wisps to a witch in the forest. Merida asks for a spell to change her mum and change her fate. The spell was a bakewell tart which made her mum turn into a bear.

Merida says to her brothers that they can eat anything like and they eat the tart and turn into bears too; but nice bears.

Merida has to save her mum from her dad and all the clans who want to kill the bear. She protects her mum and she finds how to undo the spell and she saves everyone.

Merida is a hero and I like her. She's a really good princess and isn't silly and girlie but is pretty and lovely. I would like to be her friend.

We all loved the film and mum says its her favourite princess film and better than Tangled even. I give it 11/10 and I love Tangled about the same.

This film is good for everyone from very little to very old. It makes me want to go to Scotland.

Here are some good pictures from the film.
