I love John Crane

Mum says we've been chosen to have this new badge on my blog, isn't it pretty. I love it and love the dolls house.

By Emma (mum):
We are thrilled that Major Love of Film has been chosen as one of 20 bloggers to display the ‘I Love John Crane Ltd Button’ on their blog. It is lovely to be chosen to host the button as a child blog especially since Rachel adores their toys.

You'll see the button on the right hand side of this post; go on have a look and click on it. I guarantee you'll find the toy you're looking for, even if you're not looking.

Free stories from Storynory

I love listening to stories on my MP3 player like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Mum has found this site on the internet with lots of free stories and she is downloading them for me.  I can't wait to have lots more to listen to on my player.

Does anyone know of any other places for free stories?

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

We watched this film today.  We like to watch films on sunday afternoons when Mummy is tired after church and she was very tired today because she worked very hard.  I didn't want to see it because the boys always say it is a boy film but mum and dad told me it was great.

It is great, especially the spiders.  Mum hates that bit and its funny that she hates it.  They are only models or something and not real, there are no spiders that big I know that.

Harry can speak like a snake and it sounds very weird but he isn't being nasty or anything.  I would like to speak like animals but not snakes.

I like the film and the flying car and the school.  We saw the big hall when mum was licensed at the Cathedral because it is next to it, it looks just like the dining hall.  It might be a bit scary for little kids but I was ok with it.

I made a monster

Grandad helped me with the planning.
Granny helped me learn to sew the stitches.
The mum and I made it all together with mum helping where it was hard.
I can sew now and I love this monster, it's so lovely and not scary or horrible.

My drawing of Miss Piggy

I drew this picture of Miss Piggy and Mum says it's really good.
I think it should be pink but it's OK.

The Muppets Film Review

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I saw the muppets with mummy.  There was kermit the frog and miss piggy and fuzzy bear and animal and all the muppets mummy remembered.  I didn't really know who they were.  There was also a new muppet called Walter with his human brother and his girlfriend, they want to save the muppet theatre.  Walter finds Kermit and tells him the theatre needs saving, they go and find all the other muppets and put on a show.

The show was the best bit and really funny, mum liked that best as well.  Mum said it was just like she used to watch on the TV.

My favourite character was Walter and Mum says she still likes fuzzy bear best, I like him too.

We saw Selena Gomez in the film and there were other famous people like Jack Black.

There were lots of songs and they were really silly, I liked them because they were silly.

I give it 10/10 and it's really good for mums and dads as well because they were all laughing in the cinema.

Puss in Boots Film Review

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

I went to see Puss in Boots with my dad when mum was away.

It's a film about Puss in Boots from the Shrek films. He's trying to get the magic beans so he can climb up the beanstalk to get a golden egg.

Puss in Boots manages to get to the golden eggs, with Humpty Dumpty and kitty soft paws but it was a trick set up by Humpty Dumpty.  Jack and Jill were baddies as well and they were in the trick.

It got quite confusing but it was fun and I liked it a lot.  I especially like kitty soft paws who wears fake paws.

I rate it 10/10

Angels watching over me with smiles upon their face
Cause I have made it through this far in an unforgiving place

It feels sometimes this hill's too steep
for a girl like me to climb
But I must knock those thoughts right down
I'll do it in my own time

I don't care
I'm half way there
On a road that leads me straight
to who knows where

I tell you what
What I have found
That I'm no fool
I'm just upside down
Ain't got no cares
I aint got no rules
I think I like
Living upside down

Watchin people scurry by
rushing to and fro
Oh this world is such a crazy place
it's all about the go go go

Sometimes life can taste so sweet When you slow it down
You start to see the world a little differently When you turn it upside down

I don't care
I'm half way there
And I'm just soaking up
the magic in the air
I tell you what
What I have found
That I'm no fool
I'm just upside down

Ain't got no cares
I aint got no rules
I think I like
Living upside down

100 word challenge week #20

Prompt: .....it wasn't my fault .....

One school morning in class Jack told Chloe to say "I don't like you" to Zoe. Chloe didn't like the idea of saying that because Zoe was her friend, but Jack said he'd tell the teacher if she didn't.

At break time the girls were playing catch in the playground and Chloe told Zoe she didn't like her.  Zoe was very upset but she didn't show it.

After break Zoe told her class teacher.  The teacher spoke to Chloe who said "it's not my fault, Jack told me to do it".  The teacher told her to say sorry to Zoe.  Zoe said it was ok.

The teacher spoke to Jack and Jack said he was only joking, he wasn't really, he just didn't want to get told off.  The teacher told him to say sorry to Zoe and Chloe.

I have a blue peter badge

Mum had a big surprise for me when I came out of school today, my own blue peter badge.
It looks blue in this photo but it is purple, it is a special badge for writing a review of one of the blue peter shows.  I wrote how much I like the new studio and the way they came on helicopter and boat the first day.

I am so lucky and Mum is even more happy than me, she has always wanted one her whole life she says.

Clay models

I have this cool white clay which dries in a few hours and doesn't get stuck all over your hands and can be coloured with felt tip pens.  I love playing with it and these are some of the things I've made with mum.

100 word challenge week #19

The Prompt was given by video - it was cool.
It is The ground slowly parted

This is my story

Once upon a time there was a family of bears In America.  There was a mummy bear, a daddy bear and a baby bear.  They lived by a river in the forest.

One day they were looking for tasty fish as shiny as a coin in the river for their breakfast.

Suddenly the ground shook; it was an earthquake.  The ground slowly parted and a huge hole appeared right where they were standing.

The bears fell into the hole and they were scared.  They had to climb on top of each other to climb out of the deep, dark hole.

Luckily the hole was not too deep so the bears climbed out and they lived happily ever after.
