This is a Pigtopus.
It is a cross between a pig and an octopus.
It can swim across the oceans.
It loves to roll in mud.
It will grab anything it wants.
It can smell out all things tasty.
It can hear everything for miles.
I'd like to meet a Pigtopus; would you?

Brave Film Review
Brave is a film about a girl called Merida who lives in a castle near the woods in Scotland. She's a princess but not an ordinary one, she likes archery and riding her horse in the woods. Merida lives with her mum the Queen who always tells her what to do; and her dad the King who lost a leg to a bear and likes Merida being wild. She has three little devils for brothers who are really cheeky.
Merida believes in magic and so she follows the wisps to a witch in the forest. Merida asks for a spell to change her mum and change her fate. The spell was a bakewell tart which made her mum turn into a bear.
Merida says to her brothers that they can eat anything like and they eat the tart and turn into bears too; but nice bears.
Merida has to save her mum from her dad and all the clans who want to kill the bear. She protects her mum and she finds how to undo the spell and she saves everyone.
Merida is a hero and I like her. She's a really good princess and isn't silly and girlie but is pretty and lovely. I would like to be her friend.
We all loved the film and mum says its her favourite princess film and better than Tangled even. I give it 11/10 and I love Tangled about the same.
This film is good for everyone from very little to very old. It makes me want to go to Scotland.
Here are some good pictures from the film.

The new Olympic sport of Rhythmic Trampolining
I loved watching the rhythmic gymnastics and I love my new trampoline and I made a streamer at church yesterday. I have put them all together and I have invented the new Olympic sport of Rhythmic Trampolining.
I made clay pots
Mum got me some air drying clay last week and I decided to make some pots.
I made a sausage style pot first. To do this I rolled out sausage shapes of clay. The first sausage I made into a coil and it was the bottom. Then the other sausages made the wall of the pot put together. Another coil made a the lid and I put a lump on top for a handle.
Then mum showed me how to make a pot by pushing thumbs into a ball of clay. That's really good fun and even quicker than the sausage pot. I tried loads of times until I got it right. My first one became a star shape and my second one had six edges. I decorated the six sided one with dots.
With the rest of the clay I made pencil holders. One looked like a skull and I made it look more like one. The other is an alien.
It is meant to take 24 hours to dry air clay but it took 4 days for them to be properly dry. Then I painted two of them. I painted the skull purple because it's a gift for mum for her desk and purple is her favourite colour. The sausage pot is multi coloured and I'm going to put my special things in it.
Have you made clay pots?
Can I see pictures of them?

How to be a jack in a box
I was given a trampoline by one of Mum's friends yesterday; they are really lovely and I'm really lucky.
I have learned to do loads of bottom jumps to feet over and over; it's like being a jack in a box.
Here's how you can do it too

Olympics and Paralympics
I haven't posted about going to the Olympics have I?
We went to see Weightlifting at the ExCel venue. It was amazing.
We made a Go Team GB sign and when we held it up outside ExCel people took photos of us.
A man called Gareth Evans was lifting at the weightlifting session we saw. He lifted great in the clean and jerk and in the snatch he lifted more than he's ever lifted before and he got a new welsh record. We all shouted and stamped and clapped and it was so loud and great.
After seeing the weighlifting we went to The British Museum to see the Olympic medals display. We saw the stamps which make them and we saw the medals; look how close they were.
We had the best day ever.
Now we are excited because we are seeing lots and lots of events at the Paralympics. London is all getting ready for that now and I am super super excited.

Fruit Shoot Smencils
We opened a very fruity smelling package that came through the door today; we didn't know what it was until we saw the words Doodle while you drink with the Robinsons® Fruit Shoot Smencils ®.
They are smelly pencils which are environmentally friendly and made out of recycled paper; they are called Smencils ®.
These Smencils have been created with Robinsons® Fruit Shoots™ in their drink flavours:
- Tropical
- Orange
- Apple
- Summer Fruits
- Blackcurrant & Apple
They smell just like fruit shoot drinks and it's really cool to open up the plastic case they each come in and smell the pencil when you write. The leaflet with the Smencils says they will stay scented in their biodegradable tubes for two years.
I think these would be great for birthday party bags and perhaps in stockings at Christmas.
We were lucky and were sent the starter set of five fruit shoot Smencils to review. If you'd like to win your own set then enter the Facebook competition before Friday 7th September 2012.
Here are some photos of the Smencils and me smelling them - my face shows how much I like them.

My photo of the Olympics by Emma
This picture of Mo Farah and his daughter is far and away my favourite photo of the London 2012 Olympics.
It captures perfectly the spirit of love, family, hard work, commitment and personal achievement which have come across so wonderfully at these games.
At the end of both Mo's gold medal races his daughter dashed over to congratulate her dad. Her pride was obvious and her love outpoured. And Mo then became the dad that he is first and foremost in life; a true blessing to his family.
Well done Mo, you are a hero as an athlete and as a man.

Tots100 Summer Party
I am so so so excited because this week we have Noah's Ark Summer Fun and Horrible Histories in London and then The tots100 summer party in Brighton with Zippo's Circus and lunch and the beach. I am going to learn some circus skills, I'm good with my Diablo already and I want to learn more with it. Or walk on a trapeze. Or be a clown. It's going to be amazing.
Next week it's my 7th birthday and then I'll have been blogging for a year so this is like my blogging party. Mum has met lots of bloggers with her blog LLM Calling but I haven't met any other bloggers. I hope I meet some kids who blog at the party because that would be really fun.
Mum is a bit nervous about meeting everyone and that's silly because she talks to everyone all the time. Dad is very nervous but he doesn't like to talk much and thinks everyone will be really chatty. I am just excited.
Mum is going to link this post to a linky at older single mum where blogs are showing photos. This is us, please say hi to me and mum and be nice to dad.

A poem about yesterday's fun
Mum wrote this poem on her blog about my day yesterday. I really like it, here's how to read it.

And here's my favourite photo from the two hours we spent at the stream.

New Forest Ponies
Yesterday we came to the New Forest and we saw some ponies beside the road.
We stopped the car and they came to the windows for a stroke.
Then we got out and we stroked some tiny Shetland ponies and some ordinary ponies and even a foal; it was amazing.

Funky Hats
Here's a picture of me wearing a funky hat. Do you like it?
(it's not really a funky hat, it's a choose your pillow sign from Premier Inn)
