This week has been the Easter holidays from school and so I decided to do something a little different on the praising Rachel front. We love the Mr Men books and that's where I drew my inspiration from.
Day 6
We started off with Rachel's favourite mr men; Mr Skinny.
Mr skinny goes to stay with mr greedy to fatten himself up a bit. So today we went out to our favourite coffee shop and I got Rachel a piece of lemon cake.
Day 7
And then to Mikes favourite; Mr Dizzy.
Mr Dizzy is not as clever as everyone around him in clever land but finds a wishing well and wishes he was clever. So today I granted Rachel a wish, she chose to watch a film so that's what we did.
Day 8
Wednesday was our first day away at the flat and this time I praised with one of my favourites, Mr Daydream.
Mr Daydream does as he sounds, and on the way to the flat we talked about our favourite dreams of things to do. Rachel's was to get an ice cream on the beach, so this we did despite the cold wind.
Day 9
On Thursday we had a fab afternoon on the beach collecting shells and stones and making sand hills (castles that collapse a little). Rachel said she'd had a wonderful day. I chose a bright round yellow mr men to thank her for it; "Rachel you make me very HAPPY!".
She replied with "just like Mr Happy".
Oh yes, she's down with the plan.
Day 10
There's only one mr men we could possibly finish the week with, one that brings excitement and apprehension and expectation and loads and loads of laughter.
It's .......................
Mr Tickle.
And tickle and laugh we did, so much so that we both got hiccups.
Perfect.
We enjoyed the week. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Which Mr Men would you praise your kids using?
